Women’s Fashion Advice: How to Dress Sexy
Posted by Women's Designer Clothing Editor in Fashion Tricks, Style Tips for WomenNeed top-shelf fashion hints on how to dress sexy?
If you want a few fashion pointers to turn your closet from schoolmarm to sex kitten, but you don’t want to look like a streetwalker turning tricks for cash, add these five dress sexy tips to your style repertoire.
A well-dressed woman knows that dressing sexy involves a delicate balance of illusion and symmetry.
Follow these simple style rules and I promise that you will not only turn heads, but will take pleasure in being fabulously feminine and fashionably fearless.
Expose only your best body parts: But reveal no more than two areas of skin at a time.
If you have great legs, feature your gorgeous gams with a dress that falls a few inches above the knee. Is your genetically flat tummy the envy of your friends?
Wear a form fitting dress or any jacket that cinches the waist, to highlight your washboard abs.
Blessed with an ample bosom? Show a little cleavage, but not enough to distract innocent male bystanders or breast-feeding babies.
Proper underwear is essential.
Get a good fitting bra. Wear thongs and boy shorts to eliminate panty lines.
Wear spanx, girdles and any other type of control garment to suck in your flabby tummy and smooth out any wrinkling caused by cellulite or weight gain.
Proper undergarments can prevent unnecessary wardrobe malfunctions and enhance your curves in all the right places.
Your clothes will skim over your body, and ill-fitting clothes and bulges in all the wrong places will not distract the eye from your best features.
Leave something to the imagination.
Prostitutes, women on midnight booty calls, and video vixens, wear slutty attire to advertise what they are selling: sex.
In comparison, a well-dressed woman delights in the art of seduction and only exposes her best body parts to tantalize the viewer’s mind , and make him beg for more.
Strategically use your skin to bring your eye towards your best assets. If you truly want to dress sexy, emphasize cleavage, a flat-tummy, a round behind or great legs: but never reveal all four areas of your body simultaneously.
Stay away from notable slutty attire.
Remove all sheer blouses, spandex tube tops, underwear as outerwear and head-to-toe lace attire.
Low rise jeans that reveal butt cleavage, black leggings that are so tight they reveal the outline of your feminine parts to the world are strictly prohibited.
Big breasts stuffed into skimpy tank tops, and round rumps wrapped in too-tight dresses and painted on jeans leave nothing to the imagination, and raise your slut quotient into the stratosphere.
If you pick up a garment, and ask yourself, “Will this make me look like a tramp?” Immediately back away from the garment and purchase another more appropriate item.
Wear current trends only if they flatter your body perfectly.
If hip hugging bell-bottoms were sexy in the 70’s, they might be a fashion don’t in 2009. Either convert this trend of wide flares to a modern incarnation of sportswear or ditch the dynamite disco fashion for something more current and relevant.
Wonder why every celebrity is wearing the infamous Herve Leger bandage dress of 1980’s infamy? This form fitting sartorial wonder, is not only trendy and current, but hugs the curves in all of the right places.
Trendy done tastefully says I am sexy and sophisticated. Holding on to fashion from your childhood, teen or college years, says “ I live in the past,” “I am not sophisticated,” and “My mommy still dresses me.”
Dressing sexy is in the details.
Don’t forget to add a signature perfume, perfectly manicured hands and feet and an amazing hairstyle to your dress sexy style guide.
Ballet flats and sandals are sexy too. Want to increase your sex appeal? Pair these low-heeled shoes with a flirty summer dress or opaque footless tights a la Audrey Hepburn.
You could wear the most amazing figure flattering clothes, but if your accessories, shoes and coat are wrong, and distracting, you run the risk of dressing dowdy or worse: becoming a fashion faux paus.

I think for really great women with a good body it is very difficult nowadays to dress sexy and don’t look like a prostitute. Very few women can wear very sexy clothes without any risk of looking like a floozy. Dressing well requires a fine balance between sex appeal and closeted seduction.
