If you are attending a formal ball or wedding and want to put on cufflinks and studs properly, use these instructions to add a little sartorial splendor to your menswear.
-
Put on your cufflinks to dress up your French cuff shirts
A cufflink is a small device with a swivel bar attached to a decorative button or gemstone. First, ensure that the holes in the cuffs are aligned together.
- Types of cufflinks include: Bullet closures, Whale back closure, Fixed Backing, Chain Links, Ball Return and Silk Knots.
To add a cufflink to your dress shirt, push the swivel bar closed to push the bar through the hole in cuff.
Open the swivel bar into the t-position to secure the shirt. To remove the cufflinks, close the t-position to remove the cufflink from the cuffed-sleeve.
-
Secure your studs to a shirtfront
Push the base of the stud through the holes in the shirt from the back of buttonhole to the front. Turn the studs like a button to secure the studs.
