womens-fashionMiss Style Manners says, “Just Say No to Bad Fashion.”

When selecting women’s clothing there are multitudes of daily style combinations at your disposal. Have you ever spied a woman committing the top women’s fashion mistakes?

I must admit, when I was clueless about selecting appropriate fashion for my petite frame, I selected things that made me look too short or too old.

But, there is a cure to this women’s fashion ailment: If you choose your clothing correctly, your outfit will read to the public as a carefully selected altogether elegant ensemble instead of a freakishly-designed costume.

Women’s Fashion Mistake #1 – Avoid the tanning cheeto bus.

Tanning is an unavoidable beauty ritual for women with alabaster skin. To overdo the spray tan is an ungodly style mistake that is an obstacle to elegance. A thickly applied orange spray tan screams, “I am an Oompa-Loompa. At the tanning salon, follow the old adage, less is more.

Women’s Fashion Mistake #2 – A bad haircut is unforgettable.

A Sally Hershberger celebrity cut can cost $800 dollars. Here’s why: Sally is not only a master hair stylist, but celebrities are willing to pay top dollar for the ultimate accessory–a face-flattering, tailor-made haircut.

If you cannot afford a Hollywood glamour cut, find the best stylist in your city who will mold and sculpt your hair to a simple style that is utter perfection.

Women’s Fashion Mistake #3 -Stop over plucking your eyebrows, you are not Jean Harlow or Marlene Dietrich.

In the 1930s and 19404 Hollywood makeup artists mercilessly plucked eyebrows and drew thin black lines over a starlet’s lids to create the illusion of rounder eyes. Today, an over-arched brow is a high-glamour and austere look that can add years of aging to your face. In the 21st century, natural brows are here to stay.

Pluck, pluck, pluck at your own risk.

Women’s Fashion Mistake #4 Head-to-toe lions, tigers, leopards, zebras and bears, oh no! Beware of animal prints.

Wearing a leopard handbag, dress, shoes and scarf, at one time, shows no fashion originality. Women’s fashion should celebrate personalization and figure flattery. No woman, unless you are a six-foot tall, and a size 0 fashion model can wear allover animal prints.

Should you have a fashion uniform? Yes. But, to wear any items that will mistake you for an animal that belongs to the local zoo is a fashion mistake.

Women’s Fashion Mistake #5 Avoid ill-fitting, too baggy, oversized clothes.

If you want to ignore any of my fashion advice above, adhere to this last and most important trick in my style arsenal.

Wear clothes that fit.

The reason why fashion models look so amazing in editorial photography shots in magazines is that the reader does not see the barrage of pinning, tucking, draping and folding done by expert wardrobe stylists to the high-fashion garment.

No matter what your size, find a phenomenal tailor that can fit your clothes expertly to your body-type. Poor fitted clothes can enhance the figure flaw you are desperately trying to hide.

Become a master of your style profile.

No more are you a slave to women’s fashion don’ts. Now, you can avoid these beauty and fashion mistakes and dress well, by staying away from tricky trends and fashion no-no’s.
